Giewont Villa is perched on a hillside in Koscielisko, a beautiful district of Zakopane. The house is extremely peaceful and a good distance from other buildings. It benefits from clear uninterrupted views over to a tall Tatra mountain range including the Giewont mountain, after which the villa is named.
This charming villa has a high quality and stylish contemporary interior with painted wooden furniture made by a well regarded Polish cabinet maker, squashy leather sofas and all mod-cons. A few carefully selected antiques and stylish pictures add to the ambience.
The bottom floor comprises a cinema room with a flat panel wall-mounted tv and satellite receiver, surround sound dvd system, a sauna room, bathroom, an exercise bike and fully equipped laundry room with a Bosch washing machine. The main floor comprises a stylish living room with a centrally mounted real fireplace, large bay windows opening out onto a substantial wooden terrace with wonderful views of the mountains. This room has squashy Italian leather sofas, one of which opens into a sofabed. Adjoining this room is a hall with room for skis, a cloakroom and a modern kitchen and dining room with a large wooden dining table for eight people. The kitchen is fitted with Bosch units and oak worktops. It is fully equipped with a microwave and all usual equipment. Moving up the wooden staircase, there are three bedrooms (two with covered balconies and all with mountain views) as well as two modern bathrooms with Villeroy and Boch units.
Outside there is a wooden swing bench and a children's sand pit. There is a substantial garden with a barbeque area and outdoor parking for six cars. The house is built of wood and constructed to a high standard using traditional techniques. There are solid oak floors throughout the house. Plastics and other artificial materials are kept to a minimum.
To make a stay as comfortable as possible, cotton bed linen and towels are provided. For winter nights, there is a selection of books and dvds as well as various board games and puzzles. For younger visitors, there is a basket of toys and tools to use in the sand pit.
